Peer Engagement Specialist - Job description

Seeking compassionate motivated individual, responsible for the delivery of Peer Engagement Services throughout the Mid-Hudson Region.

Must possess expertise with addiction and lived recovery experience, in order to respond to and become a resource/advocate for individuals facing challenges due to their substance use.

Main job functions will be: connecting with individuals in various settings within a 2-hour time frame from initial contact, referring individuals to treatment, providing education and information regarding addiction and helping individuals access treatment.

Must understand service delivery systems and be able to effectively engage with individuals and other professionals within those systems.
