The Recovery Coaching Academy (RCA) is a five-day, 30 hour training opportunity designed for those interested in serving as a recovery coach, focussing primarily on recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction.
The RCA is a highly interactive, personal experience that allows participants to learn the purpose, tasks and various roles of a recovery coach. The RCA provides participants with the tools and resources vital to providing recovery support services. The RCA will help volunteers to develop the skills needed to link "recoverees" to the services and supports in their community that will maintain and bolster their long term recovery.
Recovery Coach Ethics (RCE) is a two day, 14 hour training (with a 2-hour online Child Mandated Reporter Training*) intended to meet the ethical requirements for both Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) and Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA). Hours may be used for CASAC renewal only.
